Respawning a mythical game jam – Slavic Game Jam 2024 post mortem

Slavic Game Jam was a name I heard in hushed whispers, when I joined a community of game developers in Poland. A fantastic, legendary event that brought incredible joy, fun and impeccable vibes for all participants, but was struck down by menace of the Pandemic. How did this urban legend compare to reality? Why and how was it resurrected? And what did I and my community learn from it?

How to have a work in gaming industry with zero background

I would love to give away my tips to everyone out there looking for work in game industry, with or without background in the game. I had changed my career path 2 times, 1st time to be a graphic designer, 2nd time to be gam dev (end up working as an executive assistant for Dreamloop Games). I graduated as an IB student, I have no certificate while become a designer or work in the industry. This talk will be taken place whole hearted, how I found my position at Dreamloop Games, 1.5 years self learning, 6 months to look for work. I believe anyone deserves to have a work in game industry.

QA Jam: A new possibility or just crazy talk?

Linocut – DIY Stamps and Prints

Design, cut and print your own stamps. Linocut is an art medium and a form of relief printmaking. It is when a design is carefully carved into a sheet of linoleum using sharp specialised carving tools. The lino is then inked up and pressed against paper with some pressure. The image that is transferred onto the paper forms the linocut print. The ‘pressing’ can be done by hand or with a printing press. Linocut prints are also known as lino prints or linoleum block prints.
